HC Deb 24 November 1920 vol 135 cc454-5W
Mr. F. ROBERTS

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that numbers of questions are being addressed to Members of the House relative to the cessation of payment of dependants' separation allowance and special parents' allowance; whether the conditions under which a reserved right could be exercised was made sufficiently clear; and whether he will consider the possibility of reopening cases where the allowance has been stopped?

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

I think that the conditions were made as clear as they could possibly be. I am, however, prepared to consider any cases where the conditions under which a reserved right could be exercised may not have been clear to the individual. The soldier concerned should make application through the usual channels to his regimental pay master.
