asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland how many members of the police or military forces stationed in Ireland have been murdered since 1st January last; and whether he has yet been successful in securing the arrest, conviction and execution or more than one of the murderers responsible for these crimes?

The number of policemen who have been murdered in Ireland since the 1st January last is 132, and the number of military who have been murdered is 43. Only one person has been executed in connection with these murders. Twenty-seven men are now under arrest on the charge of murder.
