§ Mr. CAPEasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture what was the total acreage in Great Britain of arable and pasture land, respectively, for each of the years 1913 to 1920; and what are the estimated totals for 1921?
Sir A. BOSCAWENThe reply which I propose to give to this question is arranged in the form of a statistical table showing the acreages for the years 1913 to 1920. There are no reliable data on which an estimate could be formed of the acreage which will be under arable cultivation and under grass in 1921.
Sir A. BOSCAWENImmediate inquiry will be made into the present position as regards any unsatisfied demand for allotments at St. Neots, and I will communicate the result to my hon. and gallant Friend.
