§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONI have been asked to reply. The price of raw sugars in New York has varied 1545W during the past year from 22½ cents per lb. to the present quotation of 5.50 cents. The equivalent of the higher price was never paid by the consumer in this country. As regards the second part of the question, I must refer my hon. Friend to the reply given on 1st November to the hon. Member for Grimsby.
