HC Deb 04 May 1920 vol 128 cc1911-2W
Mr. ALFRED T. DAVIES

asked the Minister of Health whether it has been found possible to utilise ex-service men in the building of houses under schemes approved by the Ministry; and what negotiations are taking place with the trade unions on this matter?

"expenditure recoverable in whole or in part" and "expenditure not recoverable." It should be added that the figures are approximate only and are not exhaustive:

Dr. ADDISON

I regret that up to the present it has not been found possible for ex-service men generally, other than apprentices or members of the trade unions concerned, to be employed in the building of houses. On the question of negotiations I cannot add anything to the reply of the Minister of Labour yesterday.
