HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 c1731W
Lieut.-Colonel BURGOYNE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the United States of America have concluded or entered into negotiations for peace with Germany; if so, what are the terms upon which such peace is to be concluded; and when the negotiations commenced and between which parties are they being carried on?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

The Treaty of Versailles not having been ratified by the United States Senate, peace has not yet been concluded between the United States and Germany. I am not aware that any negotiations with regard to the terms of peace are now proceeding between the two countries.
