HC Deb 03 May 1920 vol 128 c1720W
Lieut.-Colonel WHITE

asked the Secretary of State for War and Air whether he will expedite the demobilisation of Private T. Bond, No. 267,693, King's Liverpool Regiment, who has recently completed a sentence of 28 days' field punishment in France, in view of the fact that it is now over three months since he was arrested and re-conveyed to France; that authority for his demobilisation was given by the War Office on 16th March, 1920; and that his services as an agricultural labourer are most urgently required by his employer?

Mr. CHURCHILL

Authority was given on 16th March, 1920, for Private Bond's case to be disposed of summarily, and for his demobilisation to be carried out on the expiration of his sentence. It is probable that he has already been sent to a dispersal station, but inquiries are being made, and I will write to the hon. and gallant Member as soon as possible.
