§ Mr. BRIDGEMANThe investigations of the Sub-Committee appointed by the Standing Committee on Trusts of the Central Committee to inquire into the nature of any combination existing among soap manufacturers or distributors and the effect of any such combinations on prices are still proceeding, and I am unable to say when the Sub-Committee will be in a position to render a Report. I understand that the retail price of yellow, carbolic, and Sunlight soap was raised one farthing a pound during the month of February.
