JONESasked the Home Secretary the number of letters he has had from branches of the National Federation of Discharged and Demobilised Sailors and Soldiers and the National Union of Ex-Service Men, requesting that an inquiry should be hold into the recent occurrence in connection with the demonstration of discharged and disabled soldiers from Woolwich which took place in Westminster on Monday the 1st instant; and whether he is prepared to recommend that an inquiry should be held into the matter, especially in view of the allegations being made by the discharged men's organisations?
