HC Deb 08 July 1920 vol 131 c1697W

Brigadier-General SURTEES asked the Minister of Transport if he can give the number of motor lorries, motor cycles and similar power-driven vehicles still owned by the Government at various depôts; what is their total estimated value; how many vehicles have been sold during the past three months; what is the number of employed and their aggregate wages for the maintenance of such vehicles; and what amount of the money derived from the sales referred to has gone to the reduction of the National Debt, and how much has been devoted to revenue?

Mr. NEAL: Motor lorries, motor cycles and similar power-driven vehicles are neither operated or sold by the Ministry of Transport. I regret, therefore, I am not in a position to answer my hon. and gallant Friend's question.
