HC Deb 08 July 1920 vol 131 c1701W

Mr. FOREMAN asked the Minister of Health if he will consider the holding in the autumn of a special Housing Bond week, in view of the fact that many people are now on their holidays and that in July the payment of the second instalment of the State taxes and the rates has to be met?

Dr. ADDISON: Local Bonds are now being issued by over 400 local authorities, who are running their campaign in accordance with local needs and conditions, which, obviously, differ in various parts of the country. I understand that certain authorities are already planning a Housing Bond week for the autumn.
