HC Deb 07 July 1920 vol 131 c1475W
Sir L. HARMSWORTH

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he can see his way to cause an inquiry to be held by his Department into the matter of the slowness of the train services, both passenger and goods, on the Highland Railway, with a view to the institution or the recommendation of new remedies for the same?

Mr. NEAL

I have been asked to answer this question. I have no evidence before me showing the necessity for the inquiry asked for, but I am looking into the subject-matter of the hon. Baronet's question. He is no doubt aware of the physical limitations of the line.
