Courtauld, Limited, at their factories at Halstead, Earl's Colne, Braintree Mills, and Bocking, owing to the action of the French Government in prohibiting the importation of crêpe into France; and whether he can make representations to the French Government with a view to this restriction being removed?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANI am aware that the prohibition of importation of crêpe into France is affecting employment in crepe factories generally, and I would refer the hon. Member, as regards the second part of his question, to the replies1474W I gave to the hon. Members for Maldon (Sir F. Flannery) and Romford (Mr. Martin) on 5th July.
