Dr. MURRAYasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has considered the further representations made to him with regard to the hardships and inconveniences created by the reduction by 50 per cent. of the steamer services between Stornoway and the mainland; and whether he is now prepared to restore the daily service in existence for over thirty years?
§ Mr. BALDWINIt has always been the intention that there should be a daily service during the four summer months of this year—roughly speaking, June to September. The question of the facilities to be provided thereafter will be carefully reviewed before the autumn.
