GRAHAMasked the Secretary for Scotland whether he has received a representation from the Association of Poorhouse Governors in Scotland directing attention to the fact that some time ago the Ministry of Health for England issued a communication to the local authorities in England urging them to consider the advisability of increasing the salaries of their officials in terms of the increase awarded to the Civil Service; whether the Association urged the issue of a similar appeal in Scotland; and whether he is now in a position to give a decision with reference to this request?
