§ Dr. MACNAMARAI have been asked to reply to this question. This matter is engaging my closest attention. It was announced on 14th June that Government Departments in placing contracts would give preference to firms on the King's Roll. I have already taken steps to have the matter re-examined in the light of the recommendation of the Select Committee on Pensions "that Government's contracts be limited, after a date to be fixed, to firms whose names are on the National Roll and who are employing the percentage of disabled men fixed for their particular trade." I hope to be able to make a announcement on the subject at an early date.
