HC Deb 28 April 1920 vol 128 cc1257-8W
Mr. J. JONES

asked the Postmaster-General if the advances which are about to be given to postal workers will also apply to men who are temporarily employed; and, if any increase is granted to these employés, will it date as from the same time as that given to the permanent workers in the Department?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

The discussions now proceeding with the Union of Post Workers refer only to the wages of permanent employés of the Post Office. The rates of pay of the corresponding temporary employés will be reviewed when a decision has been arrived at regarding the permanent staff.
