HC Deb 26 November 1919 vol 121 c1821W
Sir C. KINLOCK-COOKE

asked the Secretary of State for India whether he will give the terms as regards pay and promotion on which permanent officers of the British Army are permitted to transfer to the Indian Army?

Mr. MONTAGU

Transfers of Regular British Service officers to the Indian Army were suspended after the Armistice in November, 1918, and have not since been re-opened. The conditions under which such transfers were made were published in Army Order dated 28th June, 1917.
