HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 c1663W
Mr. J. JONES

asked the Minister of Labour whether any of the information which he receives from trade unions concerning their funds, membership rates, proceedings, etc., is placed at the disposal of other Departments of State prior to publication and, if so, of what Departments of State; whether the special branch of Scotland Yard or any other administrative authority under the Home Office has access to any of this information; and, if so, to what information and on what conditions?

Sir R. HORNE

The information received by the Ministry of Labour from trade unions concerning their funds, membership, proceedings, etc., is not placed at the disposal of other Departments of the State; and neither Scotland Yard nor any other authority under the Home Office I has had access to this information, except in so far as it is published.
