HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 cc1661-2W
MR. ATKEY

asked the Minister of Transport whether the special Report of an investigation conducted by the Ministry in connection with the reopening of the closed exit from the Midland Railway station at Nottingham opposite Trent Street is the same one which admitted the prevalence of local irritation and ill-feeling; and whether, in view of the opinion of the mayor, sheriff, and city council, and many representative associations of manufacturers and others, that the one entrance and exit now in use at the Midland Rail way station does not provide reasonable or necessary facilities either of approach or exit to the various platforms, he will cause further inquiries to be made?

Sir R. WILLIAMS

The reply to the first part of this question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, while I regret dissatisfaction should exist, I can not add to the answer given to the hon. Gentleman on this matter on the 17th November.
