HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 cc1652-3W
Mr. FINNEY

asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to a resolution of the board of guardians, Stoke-on-Trent union, urging the need for a revision of the Local Government Grants for officers' salaries and for maintenance of lunatics paid under the Local Government Act, 1888, in view of the increase in the staffs and salaries of officers, and in the cost of maintaining lunatics, and urging the Ministry of Health and the Poor Law Unions' Association to press for the matter to be dealt with by the Government as early as possible; and whether ho will indicate what steps have been taken respecting the same?

Dr. ADDISON

I can only refer the hon. Member to the reply given on the 28th October to a similar question asked by the hon. and gallant Member for the Isle of Ely.
