asked the Secretary for Scotland the total number of petitions which were received during the years 1913 to 1918 for the issue of Provisional Orders under the Private Legislation Procedure (Scotland) Act, 1899, and in how many of the opposed applications Provisional Orders were issued and an inquiry held in Scotland, and in how many the procedure was by Private Bill in London?

There were seventy applications for Provisional Orders during the years mentioned. Twenty-five opposed Orders were inquired into by Commissioners in Scotland, and five Orders were required to proceed as Private Bills.
