§ MAJOR STEELasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions what rate of delivery was promised when orders for 2,500 railway wagons were placed by the Ministry of Munitions with Woolwich Arsenal on the 28th and 31st July; and how many of these wagons have already been delivered?
§ Mr. KELLAWAYNo definite rate of delivery was promised to the North-Eastern Railway in respect of the order for 2,000 wagons, but an undertaking was given that delivery would be completed as quickly as circumstances permitted. It was agreed with the Great Western Railway that delivery of the 500 wagons ordered by that company should commence at the end of December, 1919, and be completed by September, 1920. No wagons have yet been delivered.
