HC Deb 17 November 1919 vol 121 cc649-50W
BRIGADIER-General CROFT

asked the Pensions Minister if his attention has been called to the extreme hardship of the cases-of temporary medical officers who have served away from home, and whose practices have suffered severely in consequence; whether he is aware that in many cases such temporary medical officers are receiving no compensation at all; whether he will take steps to urge upon all Departments the necessity for providing employment for such officers; and, failing that, whether compensation will be granted to them?

Sir L. WORTHINGTON - EVANS

In making appointments of medical men to positions under the Ministry of Pensions it is the practice of this Department to give preference to doctors who have served abroad during the War.
