HC Deb 04 November 1919 vol 120 cc1326-7W
Major WARING

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the necessity for economy, he will reconsider the question of re-establishing fourteen brigades of Yeomanry cavalry in this country, in view of the expense of maintaining a mounted force, and confine the Territorial Force to infantry units?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the oral replies given on the 28th October to questions on this subject asked by the hon. and gallant Member for Torquay and others, to which I am unable to add anything at present.
