§ Mr. CROOKSasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether he can now state the result of the inquiry into the question of superannuation of ex-soldier clerks employed in the War Office; whether he is aware that some of these men are now being discharged on reaching the age limit of sixty-five years; and whether, in the event of superannuation being granted, the men who have been, discharged in the meantime will be allowed to participate?
§ Mr. FORSTERIn reply to the first part of the question, I must refer my right hon. 365W Friend to the answer given by my hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the Treasury to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for Marylebone on the 5th May last. As to the rest of the question, I must refer to the answer I gave to the hon. and gallant Member for Clackmannan on the 13th of last month. To these I have nothing to add. I will send my right hon. Friend copies of the replies referred to.
