Mr. JOYNSON-HICKS

asked the Secretary to the Treasury what remuneration Sir Francis Dunnell; general secretary to the Ministry of Ways and Communications, is going to receive from the Government and from the North-Eastern Railway Company, respectively; and what are the written or verbal arrangements with the North-Eastern Railway Company in the event of his finally leavng ther service?

Sir Francis Dunnell will continue to receive, while his services are loaned to the Government, the same salary as he was drawing from the North-Eastern Railway Company. No additional remuneration will be paid to him by the Government. No arrangements have been made with the company in the event of Sir Francis leaving their service.
