§ Captain BOWYERasked the Prime Minister whether it has yet been decided to endeavour to obtain some concession from the French Government with regard to the imposition of the new French surtaxes on goods ordered but not shipped before 18th June, in view of the short notice given to exporters in this country of the imposition of the sur-tax; and, if so, what action he intends to take to obtain these concessions?
