GRIFFITHSasked the President of the Board of Trade what arrangements are being made to safeguard British patentees in respect of patents taken out before the War in countries which will be sub-divided in consequence of the terms of Peace; and in what way will licences, granted by 2054W patentees to manufacture goods which could only be supplied in certain countries, be affected, having regard to the fact that such countries no longer exist in the form in which they did when the licence was granted?
§ Mr. BRIDGEMANAs regards the first part of the question, I would direct the hon. and gallant Member's attention to Article 311 of the Treaty of Peace with Germany. The provisions of the Treaty with regard to licences granted before the War will be found in Article 310. Similar provisions will be embodied in the Treaties to be concluded with the other enemy Powers.
