§ Mr. MUNROI have had this matter under consideration. The system of policing Admiralty dockyards by constables of the Metropolitan Police Force, which is of old standing in England and Wales, was introduced in Scotland, after full consideration, by a status passed so recently as 1914. I am in communication with the Admiralty on the subject. I cannot, however, hold out any prospect of alteration in a system which was deliberately adopted and sanctioned by Parliament as the most suitable having regard to the naval and national interests involved.
