HC Deb 15 December 1919 vol 123 c77W
Sir W. BULL

asked the Minister of Transport if he has considered the question of diverting the passenger and parcels traffic on the two lines running from north to south on the western side of London, namely, Clapham Junction to Willesden, and from Clapham Junction to Acton, thus relieving the pressure through inner congested London; and if the necessary steps can now be taken to complete the electrification of the remaining portion of these lines and a through service of electric trains provided?

Mr. NEAL

The desirability of diverting traffic to the lines mentioned and of electrifying portions of them which are not already electrified will be considered in the light of information which is now being obtained as to the flow of traffic within the London area.
