Mr. JAMES BELL

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the carpenters and joiners employed in the Army Ordnance and National Aircraft Salvage Depot, No. 3, Aintree, are not receiving the standard rate for the district; whether he is aware that in the settlement of a dispute the district rate was increased to 2s. per hour as from the 2nd September last; and whether he will give instructions for the payment of this recognised rate to the men employed in the above depot?
