HC Deb 15 December 1919 vol 123 cc60-1W
Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Minister of Pensions whether any concession is proposed in the way of cheap railway fares for disabled Army pensioners in hospital in order that they may spend Christmas at home; if not, whether he is aware that in many cases this Christmas will be the first for five years which these men have had a chance of spending at home and that some of them will not be able to afford the railway fare; and whether he will consider approaching the Minister of Transport with a view to some concession?

Sir J CRAIG

I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a copy of an instruction which has been issued to the Regional Directors of the Ministry with regard to the arrangements which can be made for the Christmas leave of disabled men in hospitals.
