HC Deb 15 December 1919 vol 123 cc69-70W
Major GREAME

asked the Minister of Health whether a person who builds a brick bungalow containing seven or, alternatively, eight rooms at a cost of £800, would be entitled to the Government grant under the Housing (Additional Powers) Act?

Dr. ADDISON

A person building a bungalow of the kind my hon. and gallant Friend has in mind would be eligible for the Government grant if the building falls within the limits of floor space and accommodation, and otherwise complies with the conditions to be prescribed in accordance with the Act. It will be observed from the White Paper, which has been issued, that grants are not proposed to be given in respect of houses containing more than four bedrooms.
