HC Deb 11 December 1919 vol 122 cc1654-5W
Mr. HURD

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the work at mills at Frome is being held up by the non-delivery of consignments of wool now lying at the London Docks, a pro forma invoice for which was sent a month ago; and what steps he is taking to expedite delivery of raw materials for essential British industries?

Mr. NEAL

The particulars given are insufficient to enable me to answer the first part of the question. Every possible step is being taken to expedite the transit of the traffic indicated, but I cannot deal with this particular complaint without more data, and I suggest that my hon. Friend should supply me with it, when I shall be glad to do anything in -my power to assist him. With regard to the second part, I must refer the hon. Member to the state- ment which my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport made yesterday to hon. Members of the House.
