§ Mr. NEALI am not aware whether during the recent railway strike members of the railway police force were called upon to perform the duties of other railwaymen who had left work, but if any of the police volunteered to perform other duties I have no doubt the offer would be accepted. I am not prepared to give an undertaking that such a course would not be followed in any future case.
