HC Deb 11 December 1919 vol 122 c1643W
Major BIRCHALL

asked the Minister of Food whether he is aware of the serious shortage of frozen mutton in the Leeds market; and whether he can take immediate steps to relieve the situation?

Mr. ROBERTS

After having careful inquiries made, I am glad to state that there appears to be no foundation for the suggestion made by the hon. and gallant Member. I am informed that there are ample supplies of frozen mutton in the Leeds market, and that by the end of this week there will be a reserve in excess of current requirements.
