HC Deb 11 December 1919 vol 122 c1652W
Major HENDERSON

asked the Home Secretary when the Committee to be appointed to consider the question of superannuation for fire brigade officers will commence its sittings; whether Scotland will be included in their terms of reference; and, if so, whether one of the five members will be selected as representing Scottish interests?

Mr. SHORTT

I much regret the delay which has occurred in constituting the Committee which I propose to appoint to consider the hours, pay and conditions of service of firemen in professional fire brigades. I hope, however, that the Committee will begin its sittings early in January. The reply to the last part of the question is in the affirmative.
