asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Governments of Ceylon and other colonies have granted supplementary pensions to meet the increased cost of living to their servants who retired before the War; and, if so, to what extent has this concession been made with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Colonies?
