asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any limitation of profits was imposed on the Anglo-Persian Oil Company in consideration of the financial assistance given to that company by His Majesty's Government?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

No, Sir, except that the price ruling under the Admiralty contract for Fuel Oil is subject to reduction in proportion to the profits realised above a certain limit. There is every reason to hope that a substantial saving will be secured by the Admiralty under this head during the ensuing year.
