HC Deb 04 December 1919 vol 122 c616W
Colonel MORDEN

asked the Secretary of State for War how many officers and men are employed on the demobilisation staff at Crowborough; the ranks of the officers so employed; the total monthly expenditure on the maintenance of this staff; and the expenditure during the last three months for maintenance of buildings; and whether there have been numerous complaints as to the slipshod way in which the demobilisation arrangements have recently been conducted at Crowborough?

Mr. CHURCHILL.

There is no Dispersal Unit at Crowborough; officers and men who are eligible for demobilisation, and who are stationed at Crowborough, are sent to a Dispersal Unit near their homes, and pass through the demobilisation procedure on arrival at such Dispersal Unit. The other parts of the question, therefore, do not arise.
