HC Deb 02 December 1919 vol 122 c258W
Mr. MANVILLE

asked the Food Controller whether he is aware that complaints in great number are being received from those requiring hay supplies in Birmingham and district, hay which, having been purchased and prepared for transport by rail, is left at the mercy of the elements and is often depreciated considerably; is he aware that application to the Board of Trade for assistance in providing the necessary railway wagons have met with no success; and will he schedule hay as a perishable foodstuff so that it may receive some priority in railway transport?

Mr. NEAL

I beg to refer the hon. Member to the reply given yesterday to a similar question asked by the hon. Member for Ladywood.
