HC Deb 04 April 1919 vol 114 c1556W
Mr. WADDINGTON

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will inquire why Mrs. Grimshaw, of 259, Blackburn Road, Haslingden, has been unable, in spite of repeated applications, to obtain a reply from the officer in command of records, Preston, to her request for a new identity certificate, her previous one being completed early in December, 1918, since which time she has been unable to draw the weekly allowance, and this has entailed considerable hardship to her, the soldier on whom she is dependent being Private R. Grimshaw, No. 34506, C company, 6th East Lancashire Regiment?

Mr. FORSTER

Inquiries will be made, and I will inform my hon. Friend of the result as soon as possible.
