HC Deb 04 April 1919 vol 114 c1557W
Colonel WEDGWOOD

asked the Home Secretary how many conscientious objectors are at present being forcibly fed in prison; how many are out on licence under the Prisoners (Temporary Discharge for Ill Health) Act; in which prisons forcible feeding is being employed; and how much longer he intends to use this practice?

Mr. SHORTT

No conscientious objector in prison is at present being forcibly fed; 125 are at present at large under the Prisoners (Temporary Discharge for Ill Health) Act, 1913. The other two questions do not arise.
