asked the President of the Board of Trade what quantity of coal has been exported from this country since the coal-rationing system was introduced; to which countries it has been consigned and the amount so consigned to each country?

As the answer involves a long list of figures, I propose, with the hon. Gentleman's permission, to circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

The following is the answer circulated:

It is presumed that by the "coal-rationing system," the hon. Member means the Household Fuel and Lighting Order of 1st July, 1918. The total quantity of coal exported from this country under licence from that date to the end of February, 1919, was as follows:
