HC Deb 02 April 1919 vol 114 c1223W
Viscount WOLMER

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that storeholders and foremen of the Army Ordnance Department at Aldershot who have worked five hours per week over-time receive no extra pay for so doing?

Mr. FORSTER

Inquiries are being made, and I will inform my Noble Friend of the result as soon as possible.

Viscount WOLMER

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the Conciliation and Arbitration Board granted an increase on war bonus to date back from 1st November, 1918, and that the storeholders, principal foremen, and foremen of the Army Ordnance Department at Aldershot have only received the increase since January and February, 1919; and whether he can state why labourers should receive an increase of 3s. more than foremen?

Mr. FORSTER

The award of the Conciliation and Arbitration Board mentioned by my Noble Friend is not applicable to storeholders, principal foremen and foremen in Army Ordnance Depots. I will have inquiries made as to the war advances of the foremen in the Aldershot depot and let him know the result.
