§ Sir WILLOUGHBY DICKINSONasked the President of the Local Government Board whether, in view of the fact that the addresses of the naval and military voters appearing on the register are insufficient to enable candidates to send their, election addresses to such electors with any chance of their reaching them, and that arrangements are being made whereby the acting returning officers will be provided with the correct addresses in time to send out the ballot papers, the Government will undertake that these addresses shall be at the disposal of candidates in time to ensure that their election addresses may be delivered by post to the naval and military voters before the ballot papers reach them?
Mr. FISHERI am in hopes that it will be possible to secure that election agents will have access to the latest information available of the addresses of absent voters in order that they may, so far as is practicable, ensure the delivery of the election addresses of candidates to absent voters before the ballot papers reach them. The methods to be adopted for securing this end are at present under consideration.
