HARVEYasked the Home Secretary whether any steps have been taken to adopt the principle of the Whitley Report to the staff employed by the Prison Commission; and whether it is proposed to allow any regular opportunities for the staff to be consulted on matters affecting their welfare and the improvement of prison administration
§ Mr. BRACEA representative board of prison officers is now being formed for the purpose of enabling officers to bring before the Commissioners any matter connected with their conditions of service or general welfare. The board is elected by the warders and will have regular opportunities for direct access to the Commissioners on such matters.
