HC Deb 14 November 1918 vol 110 cc2901-2W
Mr. BROOKES

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that soldiers in the Egyptian Expeditionary Force have now served over three years without leave; and whether, in view of the altered circumstances of the War, he will see that these men are among the first to be granted special leave?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave on Thursday last to a similar question by my hon. Friend the Member for Roxburgh shire. As far as is practicable those men who have been longest with an Expeditionary Force are given priority in the matter of leave.
