§ Mr. BOOTHasked the Minister of Re construction upon what ground the question of a State medical service was regarded as a forbidden subject in considering a Ministry of Health; and whether he is aware that many of the workers under the National Health Insurance Acts are desirous of having the above proposal thoroughly examined with a view to remedying some large and serious evils?
§ Dr. ADDISONThe negotiations to which the hon. Member refers were limited to the discussion of the redistribution of the functions of central Departments in relation to health services. As stated, in reply to a similar question by the hon. Member on the 22nd April, the question564W of a State medical service would not, therefore, have been relevant to the proceedings.
